This antique Sarouk is a classic example of finely hand-knotted Persian craftsmanship. Remarkably, this Sarouks adorned with elegant bouquets of flowers, forming a central medallion that seamlessly flows into complementary floral arrangements on either side, creating a stunning botanical design. The composition is beautifully framed by a floral blue main border and two light green guard borders.
This piece has been gently used over the past century, with even wear that speaks to its enduring quality. A professionally sewn add-on fringe has been added to both ends, and a small, barely noticeable restoration is present in one corner. Both sides remain in their original condition. The wool is hand-spun, and all dyes are organic. Remarkably, this Sarouk required approximately 1,100 hours to complete, a testament to the skill and dedication of its artisan.
