Artfully designed antique Chinese rug. This little gem is woven on a shiny indigo blue field, framed by a taupe border. The rug is decorated with a red/maroon plum blossom and in one corner there is a beautiful imperial palace, a symbol of wealth. The texture and feel of this rug is really amazing.
This art deco rug is in mint condition without restorations. Sides are original and ends have been reinforced. All dyes used to hand knot the rug are undoubtedly organic. Wool is very soft which creates a smooth glossy surface. Estimated time to hand make this rug is about 400 hours.
